COMMISSIONS

Why commission an artist?

Commissioned pieces allow you to get custom art for your home! SO, if you….

  • have empty walls

  • know a friend with empty walls

  • have a special place in your home that could use a statement piece

(Statement pieces are great for sparking conversation or debate )

  • wish for your home to reflect you or the things you care about

You should consider commissioning an artist for your idea.

Who should you commission?

You should find an artist whose style matches the style you like. This is huge!! Don’t go asking an illustrator to draw up a realism piece! Also check what the artist specializes in. Are they a portrait artist or do they do landscapes?  You should choose an artist who’s style and content already reflect what you’re looking for allowing the artist to do what they do best!

My process

I have my clients fill out my commissions questionaire. If it is a project I believe I am a fit for/want to do, we will work together to determine a timeline, price, and a thorough analysis of all expectations in contract form so you know exactly what you’re getting. I work best when I have all of the info up front so that there are as few tweaks as possible.  A 50 percent non refundable deposit is required before starting. I will show the client the piece at the halfway point so that they can include any feedback and then a second time when the project is complete. Once the piece is finished the final payment is due plus shipping before it is sent out.
